Staffing pressure is a cost, capacity and workflow problem

At the same time, nominal revenue can give a misleading impression of recovery. According to Germany’s Federal Statistical Office, food-service sector revenue in May 2026 was 0.7 percent higher than a year earlier in nominal terms but 7.1 percent lower after adjusting for prices.
